Upcoming CompLit Graduate Student Events

* The C. Clifford Flanigan Memorial Colloquium: This graduate student event will take place on Saturday, March 24th from 2pm to 4pm in BH 004. The event program will consist of the following presenters and research: Kate Johnson, "Changes in Form and Theme in Poems of Simin Bebahani and Forugh Farrokhzad"; Wendy Hardenberg, "Paper: Choosing Madness: Rebellion or Insanity?" and Cathryn Knoles, "The Program Music of Henriette Renie." Refreshments will follow the presentations. At the event's end, there will be a Q&A. All are welcome to attend this annual event.

* A Noon Talk with Dr. Christian Moraru: The I.U. Dept. of Comparative Literature and the Student Advisory Board of CMLT are pleased to invite you to: A Noon Talk with Dr. Christian Moraru, Friday, March 23rd: 12pm-1:30pm in Ballantine 901. As an alumnus of the Dept. of Comparative Literature, Professor Moraru will speak to the Department about his experiences on the job market, in the discipline and as a professor of 20th-century American literature at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. * Ruminations with Prof. Eileen Julien: The Grad Students of CompLit are pleased to announce another Ruminations event for February 26th at 7pm. Our professor for this Ruminations event will be the department's new Chairperson, Dr. Eileen Julien. * March Comparative Literature Graduate Student Bar Night: On Friday March 2nd, the Grad Students of Comparative Literature will gather with the Grad students of the Dept. of Slavic Languages and Literatures and the Russian and East European Institute. This event will take place at Bear's Place on Third Street from 7pm onward. Please bring your friends, partners and all loved ones.
